2011–2012 WHO WE ARE IS WHY WE WIN

We are pleased that you have chosen to participate in the Vashon High School Boys’ Basketball program for the 2011-2012 school year. We, as coaches, will do all we can to provide a positive experience for all involved—an experience in which players will grow in their individual basketball skills, in their ability to work as part of a team, and in their character as a human beings. We will strive for excellence both on and off the court while stressing the following things: teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and hustle. These are things that will continue beyond basketball and into life itself.

The following expectations and guidelines of player conduct for the 2011-2012 varsity VHS boys’ basketball team were established by Varsity Team members and coaches in a meeting on November 28, 2011. These guidelines are not meant to replace the district athletic code or other school policies, but are intended to raise the level of expectation for the members of our team to an even greater standard. The standards below will serve as a guide for action should violations occur. Violations other than those listed will be handled on an individual basis.
