The Pirates Defeat Fife
Dec 9, 2008
by Charlie Pieterick

Max Burnham slices to the basket for 2 of his 8 points.
Against Fife on December 9th, the Pirates were clearly in control from the beginning. And while the Trojans battled back with courage, they could not match Vashon’s speed, size, and skill. Coach Sears substituted personnel often and freely, showing the versatility and skill of his deep bench. The Pirates forced the exhausted Trojans into 26 turnovers. Quinn Holert played the assassin, sinking 2 of 3 three-point attempts. Pieterick also popped a three to start a 9-0 first quarter run. He then displayed his defensive prowess on the ensuing inbound by stealing the pass and feeding Burnham for a quick 2. All 12 Pirates got in on the action, 10 of them scoring.
Pirate Points:
Wegner 13, Timm-Skove 12, Gage 11, Burnham 8, Holert 7, Pieterick 6, Charlie Hoffman 5, Odin Jacobovitch 2, Matt Kerns 1, Elias Weston 1, Stoffer, Kyle Bakker.
