2011-2012 Team Awards Announced

The Vashon High School Boys Basketball Team announced the following awards, as presented at their banquet Sunday, March 4.

Vashon High School Team Awards (as voted on by VHS players):
The team awards fall in line with the four ideals the team tries to reach: Championship Effort, Inspiration (playing with passion), Teamwork, and Improvement.

Varsity:
Most Improved – Jessie Norton
Best Teammate – Jesse Hazzard
Mr. Hustle (championship effort) – Torin Perret
Most Inspirational (passion for the game) – Dan Lofland

Team Captains –Jesse Hazzard and Dan Lofland
Team Manager -Jefferson Douglas
Team Statistician –Teddy Atwell

Junior Varsity:
Most Improved – Jacob Plihal
Best Teammate – Graham Hazzard
Mr. Hustle (championship effort) – Ezra Ende
Most Inspirational (passion for the game) – Matt Swope

Nisqually League Academic Awards (3.5 GPA or above):
Peter Amick, Garrett Starr, Matt Swope, CJ Williams

Nisqually League All-Opponent Team (voted on by opposing coaches):
2nd Team – Dan Lofland and Ben Whitaker
